Policy on Safety, Health, the Environment and Security

OL&T takes very seriously its responsibility for safety in all aspects of its business and operations. We are committed to uphold the highest standards with regard to safety, health, the environment and security at all levels of the organization.
 
From secure access to our facilities, to a rigorous, ongoing screening process for each of our service providers, OL&T embodies best practices in safe, disciplined work processes, operating practices and procedures, and strives for continuous improvement.
 
The company has been accepted into the American Chemistry Council's Responsible Care® partnership program and has adopted the Council's Guiding Principles. OL&T also follows the guidelines on best practices set by the European Chemical Industry Council and is NAFTA, TOSCA, HM 232 and chemical weapons and controlled substance compliant.

Governing Principle

The Corporation will conduct its business responsibly, and in a manner designed to protect the health and safety of its employees and the public, to protect the environment, and to preserve the security of its facilities and operations and those of its customers.
 
Programs and procedures will be implemented and maintained that provide reasonable assurance that the Corporation follows these steps.
 

Compliance

Complies with all applicable governmental and internal safety, health, environmental and security requirements.
 

Operations

Maintains its facilities, conducts its operations, and performs its services, in a manner designed to provide safe and secure transportation and logistics operations for its customers, and that protects the environment, and the safety, health and security of its employees, its customers and their employees, facilities and products, and the public.
 

Priority

Makes safety, health, environmental and security considerations a priority in planning and operations.
 

Communications and Training

Reports promptly to officials, employees, customers and the public, information on safety, health,environmental or security risks and hazards andrecommended protective measures, and providesregular training for its personnel on health, safety, environmental and security issues related to their work responsibilities.
 

Public Policy

Participates with government and industry to create responsible laws, regulations and standards to safeguard the community, workplace and environment.
 

Continuous Improvement

Strives for continuous improvement in programs, work processes and performance related to safety, health, the environment and security, by conducting regular examination of its operations, in relation to best industry practices and, to the extent applicable, the principles and practices (as customarily applied in the respective geographic area) of Responsible Care®, to identify opportunities for improvement, and by establishing goals and measuring achievement.In the United States, the Corporation and certain of its affiliated companies primarily serving the chemical industry have adopted the American Chemistry Council’s Responsible Care® Guiding Principles

Mutual Assistance

Promotes, to the extent applicable, the principles and practices of Responsible Care® by sharing experiences and offering assistance to others who produce, handle, use, transport or dispose of chemicals.
 
This Policy is applicable to Odyssey Logistics & Technology Corporation and all of its subsidiaries.

The American Chemistry Council’s Responsible Care® Program is recognized as a trusted symbol of quality, practiced in 53 countries by companies committed to the safe and secure management and shipping of hazardous products and processes.
 
The initiative aims to improve the environmental, health, safety, and security performance of member companies. OL&T has made a commitment to:
  • Measure and publicly report performance
  • Implement the Responsible Care Security Code
  • Apply the modern Responsible Care management system to achieve and verify results
  • Obtain independent certification that a management system is in place and functions according to the professional standards
