Truck

Trucking costs in 2010, which accounted for 78 percent of the transportation cost pie, amounted to $592 billion according to a recent State of Logistics report. While that number represented an increase over the prior year, it rose less than other modes. With the lion's share of transportation dollars allocated to trucking, companies need to remain vigilant in their quest to control shipping expenses.

We leverage our extensive network to bring our clients optimum rates and reliable transport service. Our intensive screening process, ongoing monitoring and performance measurement of carriers in our network ensure our clients cargo is delivered securely, on time and always in compliance with regulations.

Our chemical industry clients benefit from a proven load tendering system that promotes the safe handling of cargo at competitive market prices. OL&T seeks hazardous materials-trained and certified carriers, responsive to the complex requirements of chemical shippers.

Less-than-Truckload (LTL)

Economic factors today are driving retailers to take a different approach to controlling their inventories. Weak sales at the bricks-and-mortar level and growth in online purchases have reduced the need for more stock on-hand. In response to this shifting dynamic, businesses are taking more frequent, smaller shipments from their suppliers and creating even more demand in the less-than-truckload market.

Clients know that by leveraging OL&T's access to a vast global network of carriers they will benefit from the most cost efficient and flexible LTL solutions available. OL&T's robust and transparent network platform provides total visibility of the process. By being selective about the carriers in the OL&T provider network, we consistently ensure the safe, on-time and optimally priced shipment solutions.

OL&T specializes in logistics procurement, and offers transportation services in all over-the-road modes, including LTL, TL and dry and liquid tank truck. The company also offers consolidation/distribution, temperature-controlled equipment, on-site logistics, and Web-enabled reporting.
