Wednesday, November 19, 2014: Winter Weather Update – A blast of arctic air set off major lake-effect snowstorms across the Great Lakes snowbelt, affecting parts of New York, Pennsylvania, and Ohio. The region is seeing significant operational disruptions as a result, with power outages, road closures, and access to customer facilities being the main challenges. Delays are expected due to current weather conditions.
- I-90 Winter Storm Warning
- Tandem vehicles banned.
- Due to severe weather, the Thruway is closed IN BOTH DIRECTIONS between Exit 46, Rochester, and Exit 61, Ripley. Motorists are advised to seek alternate routes.
- The I-190 Niagara Thruway is closed Southbound between Exit 16, I-290 and the I-90.
