The water carriers serving Hawaii have just announced unprecedented general rate increases with the Surface Transportation Board, affecting both westbound and eastbound shipments.  The combination of increases is the largest we’ve seen in any single year in at least the last 30 years.

In addition, the State of Hawaii will continue with their yearly wharfage increases in 2023.  There have also been significant market increases to CONUS trucking and rail rates, as well as local, on island, trucking rates.

Effective January 1, 2023:  Odyssey Hawaii will have to adjust our rate schedules and accessorial rates to accommodate these and other incremental cost increases.
