Alaska Service Announcement: Severe Weather Delay and Kodiak Bypass – MKD194N

Valued Customers of American Fast Freight, Inc., please view the latest announcement from Matson:

Please be advised that an early winter storm system has developed in the Gulf of Alaska, bringing storm-force winds and heavy seas. In an effort to wait out the brunt of the storm, Matson Kodiak delayed its departure from Tacoma until 0800 Thursday morning.

Based upon the current weather outlook, we plan a 0300 start in Anchorage on Monday, October 4, with cargo available at 0430. The gate will be open as needed.

As a further result of this delay, MKD194S will bypass Kodiak and will return directly to Tacoma from Anchorage. Cargo from Tacoma destined for Kodiak will be discharged in Anchorage and relayed to MLE161N arriving in Anchorage on Tuesday, October 5.

We will provide an update if the weather conditions change.
