February 11, 2020 Alaska Service Announcement: Severe Weather Delay and Kodiak Bypass – MAC134N February 11, 2020 Valued Customers of American Fast Freight, Inc., please view the latest weather announcement from Matson: Please be advised that Matson Anchorage encountered storm force winds and heavy seas during its voyage through Kodiak and Dutch Harbor. Dutch Harbor also experienced wind gusts of 80-90 mph over the weekend, which further delayed cargo operations, and will result in a delayed Tacoma arrival and departure. At this time, we anticipate arrival in Tacoma on Thursday evening, February 13, with an anticipated departure by noon on Friday, February 14. Preliminary ETA Anchorage is currently Monday afternoon, February 17. MAC134N will bypass Kodiak on this voyage and will return directly to Tacoma from Anchorage. Cargo from Tacoma destined for Kodiak will be held and loaded to MTC133N departing Tacoma on Friday night, February 14. Cargo from Anchorage to Kodiak will be loaded to MTC133S departing Anchorage on Tuesday night, February 18. These projections are based upon current weather conditions. We will provide updated ETA information after the vessel departs from Tacoma, or if anything further develops.
