Valued Customers of American Fast Freight, Inc., please view the latest service update regarding Tote Maritime Alaska:
Tote Maritime Alaska, one of American Fast Freight’s (AFF) Alaska ocean carriers, is in a multi-year process of converting their Orca Class vessels to liquified natural gas (LNG) power. A major step in this conversion will be accomplished this winter when the Midnight Sun will be in dry dock for an estimated 10 weeks, somewhat limiting the market’s overall capacity into Alaska during this time. Normally, Tote has two sailings per week, but will be limited to only one sailing per week during this time.
As the LNG conversion is occurring during our slower winter months, December 9, 2019 through February 10, 2020 when volumes are typically lower, we anticipate minimal impact to AFF’s ability to deliver our normal high level of service to our Alaska customers. During this 10-week period, please pay close attention to AFF’s terminal cut-off times as the sooner the freight arrives in our terminals, the higher likelihood we have of continuing to deliver top notch service to Alaska.
We appreciate your cooperation, and if you have any questions, please contact your Transportation Consultant or call our Customer Service Team at 800.642.6664.
Thank you for your business.
