Odyssey Caribbean’s Jacksonville Consolidation Center is Open

The Jacksonville consolidation center for Caribbean Shipping Services (Odyssey Caribbean), a subsidiary of Odyssey Logistics, has reopened today under limited capacity following Hurricane Ian.

Although the storm remained offshore as it passed Jacksonville, there was a significant amount of water dropped from the storm and associated storm surges. Power loss and damages in the greater Jacksonville area were not nearly as significant as Florida points further south.

Facility and vessel operations are returning slowly and sailing schedules are resuming as early as this weekend.

Operationally, access to empty containers is limited until the ports reopen on Saturday 10/2. Today, Odyssey Caribbean will be loading cargo held through the storm and as soon as operations allow, we will tender these containers tomorrow, and secure more empties in order to meet the revised sailing schedules by each of the ocean providers. We anticipate being able to remain current for all of our inbound and outbound cargo, and to meet each sailing schedule we are planning to utilize in the coming days.

Sept. 30, 11:30 a.m. update

JAXPORT remains closed (Port Condition ZULU) while the U.S. Coast Guard (USCG) Sector Jacksonville, JAXPORT, and our tenants complete post-storm assessments.

Pending approval from the U.S. Coast Guard, JAXPORT gates will reopen at 6 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 1 and cargo can begin leaving the terminal at 6:30 a.m. Saturday.

Tenants: Please check your email for required USCG reopening documentation.

Because JAXPORT tenants establish their operating hours at their gated facilities, drivers seeking to pick-up or drop-off loads are encouraged to contact their terminal operator directly to confirm their specific hours of operation.
