Major Storm to Bring Heavy Snow and Severe Thunderstorms to Central United States through the Weekend

A major storm system will bring heavy snow to parts of the central Rockies and central High Plains Friday through Sunday. Strong winds will combine with snowfall rates of 1-2”per hour to produce near blizzard conditions. Southeast of the winter weather, severe thunderstorms are possible over the southern Plains into the Ozarks Friday through Sunday.
