Odyssey Delivers 24,000 Gallons of Fresh Water to Those in Need After Hurricane Irma

DANBURY, Conn. (Sept. 15, 2017)  Odyssey FoodTrans LLC, a subsidiary of Odyssey Logistics & Technology Corporation (Odyssey), delivered 24,000 gallons of chilled, potable water this week to members of the Clewiston, Florida, community and the surrounding area. Many of these residents had no access to running water since losing power after Hurricane Irma.

Odyssey FoodTrans, one of the world’s leading transporters of food-grade liquids, filled four of their large tanks with fresh water before the storm as precautionary emergency resource for their facility. All of that supply has been donated.

“When we realized the community needed our support, there was no hesitation to share what had quickly become a precious commodity,” said Dustin Lowman, director of Florida operations, Odyssey FoodTrans LLC. “It is an honor to play a role in the road to rebuilding after this devastating storm.”

In addition to serving residents, Odyssey FoodTrans also delivered water to local utility crews who had been working tirelessly to restore power in the community.
