Odyssey Logistics Europe BVBA Earns AEO Certification

OL&T becomes recognized trusted trader by the EU

DANBURY, Conn. (Sept. 5, 2012) – Odyssey Logistics Europe BVBA, a subsidiary of Odyssey Logistics & Technology Corporation (OL&T), has received certification as an Authorized Economic Operator (AEO) in response to the European Union’s need to secure international supply chains and the introduction of Customs-Trade Partnership Against Terrorism (C-TPAT) in the USA.

Odyssey Logistics Europe BVBA received the highest level of certification, the status of AEO-Full. OL&T customers will benefit from the certification as fewer inspections on goods will be necessary which ensures that goods move faster resulting in improved supply chain efficiency. Odyssey is fit to let customers make full use of new opportunities like simplified customs practices and contribution towards Green Lane procedures.

The European Union and the United States of America formally agreed to recognize traders who have been certified as trusted traders, allowing companies to benefit from a smoother flow of goods, financial savings and quicker delivery times. Odyssey Logistics Europe BVBA has joined more than 5,000 companies approved as AEOs in the EU. The certification demonstrates that Odyssey fulfills the requirements regarding management, systems, solvency and lawful conduct and that it has been a safe and reliable business partner. AEO is based on, and is compatible with, the World Customs Organization’s SAFE Framework of Standards which is being implemented by customs authorities across the globe.
