A train carrying flammable and corrosive materials went off the tracks Sunday about 60 miles west of Baton Rouge. The derailment forced evacuations and blocked portions of the highway. The track runs parallel to US Hwy 190 – which is now closed in both directions between LA 35 and LA 104 due to the incident. State police said US Hwy 190 would be closed for at least two days. Traffic is also being diverted from the evacuation zone.
