July 30, 2020 Weather Related Service Update: Tropical Storm Isaias TROPICAL STORM ISAIAS Monday, August, 3, 2020 Tropical Storm Isaias will deliver heavy rainfall, flash and urban flooding, high winds, dangerous storm surge, coastal flooding, life-threatening surf, rip currents, and severe thunderstorms with tornadoes to portions of the Eastern U.S. through early this week. Isaias is expected to track from just offshore of northeastern Florida toward coastal South and North Carolina on Monday. Thursday, July 30, 2020 All eyes remain fixed on newly formed Tropical Storm Isaias (pronounced ees-ah-EE-ahs) which is currently south of Puerto Rico and moving to the northwest. The storm is expected to impact Puerto Rico and Hispaniola today, before then advancing close to the Bahamas on Friday. By this weekend, the storm may begin to approach South Florida.
