Thursday, April 11, 2019 – Despite welcoming Spring just three weeks ago, many people in the upper Midwest and Plains are experiencing severe, winter-like weather. Winter Storm Wesley swept through parts of the Midwest from Wyoming to Minnesota, bringing with it heavy snow and high winds Wednesday. As of Thursday morning, the system has caused school/business closures or delays, power outages, and several transportation disruptions. Portions of interstates were shut down in Colorado, Minnesota, and South Dakota, and more are expected from widespread blizzard conditions in the region. Conditions will continue through Friday. Freight transportation will likely be impacted.
