March 10, 2022 Weather Related Service Update: Developing Winter Storm and Severe Weather Threats into the Weekend March 11, 2022: The National Weather Service has announced a strong cold front will begin to push across the Eastern U.S. today and Saturday bringing a wide range of hazards to the region. Heavy snow is expected from the eastern Great Lakes through the Northeast. Thunderstorms capable of damaging wind, isolated hail, and a few tornadoes are possible across parts of the Southeast to the Mid-Atlantic Friday night into Saturday. We will continue to monitor conditions and post the most update-to-date storm information here, including the most recent service updates. 3/10/2022 Update: Arctic Cold Front to Bring Multiple Impacts to Central and Eastern U.S. through the Weekend The National Weather Service has announced an artic cold front will move south through the Central U.S. through Friday before becoming a major storm in the East on Saturday. Heavy snow is expected across the Central Plains into Mid-Mississippi Valley today. A wide range of hazards is expected Friday and Saturday across the Eastern U.S., including severe storms in the Southeast and heavy snow from the Tennessee Valley to the Northeast.
