September 16, 2024 – Odyssey Logistics, a global leader in logistics and technology solutions, is proud to announce that Barbara Slawter, president of Odyssey Tank Intermodal, has been named a recipient of the 2024 Women in Supply Chain Award from Supply & Demand Chain Executive. This accolade adds a new milestone to her 25-year career as she continues to bring prominent change as a leader in the logistics and transportation industry.

“Barbara is a leading expert and advocate in our industry,” said Hans Stig Moller, Chief Executive Officer at Odyssey. “Her dedication goes beyond creating safe and secure transportation solutions—she is passionate about creating opportunities for women by advocating for an inclusive environment. We are proud to have her on our team—and congratulate her for a well-deserved recognition.”

Since joining Odyssey in 2019, Slawter has consistently delivered high-quality solutions for complex transportation challenges. Under her leadership, her team helps customers enhance supply chain resilience, reduce costs and cut emissions by up to 50% compared to traditional transport methods.

A strong advocate for women’s advancement in the supply chain industry, Slawter leads a team at Odyssey that is 90% women. Slawter shared, “Advancing gender equity isn’t just about making progress—it’s about tapping into the full potential of our industry. When we support women, we bring fresh ideas, stronger resilience and a more inclusive approach to everything we do.”

Now in its fifth year, Supply & Demand Chain Executive honors female leaders and executives with the Women in Supply Chain awards. This award acknowledges women in the industry whose accomplishments, mentorship and examples set a foundation for women at every level of supply chain organizations.

“Each year we see the incredible achievements of these winners, how their efforts are paying off, and how they truly are shaping the future of supply chains,” said Marina Mayer, Editor-in-Chief of Food Logistics and Supply & Demand Chain Executive.

Women in Supply Chain award winners will be honored at this year’s Women in Supply Chain Forum Nov. 12 & 13, 2024 in Atlanta. For a full list of the 2024 winners, visit https://foodl.me/fdx1zi.
