Sheehy takes her place among high achieving women as the spotlight on gender diversity in the supply chain industry continues to shine bright
September 18, 2023 – Odyssey Logistics (Odyssey), a global leader in logistics and technology solutions, is proud to announce that Chief Human Resources Officer (CHRO) Laura Sheehy has been named a recipient of the 2023 Women in Supply Chain award from Supply & Demand Chain Executive. This accolade adds a new milestone to her 30-year career in human resources (HR), and underscores her commitment to fostering the success of women in the field.
“Laura Sheehy is an excellent leader and an unwavering advocate for Odyssey and our people. Her passion goes beyond building best-in-class HR operations—she is deeply committed to developing an environment where employees thrive and to paving the way for women to succeed in the supply chain industry,” said Hans Stig Moller, Chief Executive Officer at Odyssey. “I wholeheartedly congratulate her for being a recipient of the Women in Supply Chain award. This is well-deserved recognition for a truly outstanding leader.”
Throughout her career, Sheehy has served in leadership roles for various industries from manufacturing, technology and healthcare to restaurant and logistics. She joined Odyssey in 2020 as Vice President of Human Resources and within two years, she was appointed to lead the global HR function as CHRO.
“Women have come so far and I’m proud of the fact that together, women and men have really brought us to where we are today,” said Sheehy. “By elevating women, the supply chain industry benefits from expanded talent, experience and perspective.”
In addition to her role at Odyssey, Sheehy currently serves on the Junior Achievement of Western Connecticut Board of Directors, is actively involved in the Society of Human Resource Management (SHRM) Executive network, a community that connects senior HR leaders, and she participates in Chief, a private network designed for the most powerful women executives to strengthen their leadership, magnify their influence and pave the way to bring other women with them.
Now in its fourth years, Supply & Demand Chain Executive has recognized female leaders and executives with the Women in Supply Chain awards. It acknowledges women in the industry whose accomplishments, mentorship and examples set a foundation for women at all levels of supply chain organizations.
“While there’s still more work to be done, what we’re doing is working. From truck drivers to CEOs, what these winners are doing matters to the future of all supply chains,” said Marina Mayer, Editor-in-Chief of Food Logistics and Supply & Demand Chain Executive.
Women in Supply Chain award winners will be honored at this year’s Women in Supply Chain Forum November 14-15, 2023 in Atlanta. For a full list of the 2023 winners, visit https://foodl.me/fdx1zi.
